There’s something undeniably magical about September weddings. The crisp air, the changing leaves, and the soft, golden light that seems to linger just a little longer in the sky—it all creates the perfect backdrop for a celebration of love. Shannon and Chris’ wedding at The Venue at Winding Hills in Montgomery, NY, was a picture-perfect example of how nature, love, and personal style can come together to create this beautiful day!

The ceremony itself was nothing short of magical. As the guests gathered in the shade of towering trees, they were treated to the sweet sounds of nature and soft guitar music. Shannon, radiant in her flowing lace gown, walked down the aisle with a gentle smile on her face, her eyes locked on Chris, who stood at the altar with tears in his eyes.

The moment was pure and heartfelt as they exchanged vows, with the sun casting a warm glow over everything. The emotion was palpable, and you could see just how much love Shannon and Chris shared. They played rock-paper-scissors to decide who should give their vows first and it added to the laughter and joy that everyone felt. They also shared a sweet unity ritual of pouring dirt from each of their childhood homes together to represent their roots and how they have come together to grow. It was clear that their connection was not just a fleeting moment but a deep and enduring bond.

Following the ceremony, guests made their way to the reception area, which had been transformed into an elegant, rustic celebration. The tented space at The Venue at Winding Hills was decorated with soft white drapes and lush greenery, creating an atmosphere of warmth and inviting the outdoors in. As music is something that is very special to both Shannon and Chris, they incorporated their favorite bands into the seating chart, table names and decor, adding a fun personal touch to the ambiance!

Shannon and Chris shared their first dance as a married couple to a song that held special meaning for them. Surrounded by family and friends, their love was palpable as they twirled around the dance floor, their faces lit with joy and happiness.

The evening continued with heartfelt speeches, delicious food, happy tears and plenty of laughter. Guests danced the night away, celebrating the union of two people who were clearly meant to be together.

The highlight of the night was when Chris, a musician himself, took to the stage along side the band to perform his own song to his loyal fans of family and friends!
